Seiro Kan Dojo

Seiro Kan dojo is run by Brian Morrison Sensei in Radcliffe-on-Trent, Nottingham, and teaches the classical Japanese sword style of Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu. This is a traditional Japanese martial art (referred to as a koryu) and this style of swordsmanship can trace its lineage back to c.1590 CE. It now has its roots in the Tosa region of Japan on the island of Shikoku.

Brian Morrison Sensei is a student of Iwata Norikazu Sensei, 19th generation Hanshi of the Zenkoku Roshukai, and is dedicated to passing on the teachings of his Sensei.

Iwata Norikazu Sensei is committed to passing on meaningful Iai based on the methods of Oe Masamichi, the 17th generation Headmaster of Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu. It is very important to Iwata Sensei and his students that the old techniques are retained and passed on to future generations.

Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu can be referred to as Iaido or Iaijutsu. This Dojo teaches the traditional techniques with emphasis placed on correct body movement and effective Iai. This is a different training technique than one might find in other schools of Iaido and makes for strong, dynamic Iai.
